DIGITAL SIGNAL PHASE SHIFTING SYSTEM Abstract Of The Disclosure A digital signal phase shifting system is disclosed which comprises a timing signal generator producing cyclic digitally coded timing signals; a first system output signal generator capable of decoding the timing signals and producing first system output signals in response to the occurrences of predetermined timing signals; a second system output signal generator capable of decoding digitally coded signals and producing a group of second system output signals in response to operation of the timing signal generator; and a setting device adjustable by the user to condition the second system output signal generator to shift the phase of the group of second system output signals. The disclosed system includes alternative constructions for phase shifting a group of system output signals. In one construction pairs of the output signals of the group are produced by respective binary coded signal decoder units and a binary adder is connected between the decoder units and the timing signal generator. The timing signals, which are binary coded, are input to the adder and the adder output is fed to the decoder units. The setting device is effective to input a binary coded signal to the adder so that the adder output signal is reflective of the sum of the input timing signal and the setting signal. By changing the setting signal valve the entire group of output signals from the decoder units is phase shifted. In another construction the binary coded timing signals are input directly to a decoder unit which produces plural output signals. The decoder unit is formed by a pair of digital comparators having settable inputs. A binary adder has its output connected to the settable input of one comparator and the setting device is connected both to the adder input and the settable input of the other comparator. A second adder input is settable by the used. The output signal pulses are simultaneously phase shifted by adjusting the setting device. -1-
