A digital signature verification system wherein a signature system may sign a conversational message, as might be used in a chat, instant messaging or enterprise instant messaging dialog, and a verification system may then verify the signature. The signature system may include a signing entity (14) and a vault (16), wherein the signing entity provides the message and credentials and the vault creates the signature (24) based on a first hash of the message that is further encrypted with a signature key. The verification system may include a validating entity and a verifier, wherein the validating entity provides the message, the signature, and assertions to the verifier and the verifier then forms a second hash of the message, uses a verification key corresponding with the signature key to decrypt the signature and obtain the first hash, and compares the two hashes to determine a proper validation response.
La présente invention concerne un système de vérification de signature numérique par lequel un système de signature peut signer un message de dialogue, notamment dans le cas de discussions informelles sur un forum, de messagerie instantanée, ou de dialogue par messagerie instantanée d'entreprise, un système de vérification pouvant alors vérifier la signature. Le système de signature peut comporter une entité signataire (14) et une chambre forte (16). Dans ce cas, l'entité signataire fournit le message et les justificatifs, la chambre forte créant la signature (24) sur la base d'un premier condensé numérique du message qui est ensuite crypté avec une clé de signature. Le système de vérification peut se composer d'une entité validatrice et d'un vérificateur. Dans ce cas, l'entité validatrice fournit au vérificateur le message, la signature, et des déclarations, le vérificateur formant alors un second condensé du message, ce qui lui permet de se servir de la clé de vérification correspondant à la clé de signature pour décrypter la signature et revenir au premier condensé. Il ne lui reste plus qu'à comparer les deux condensés pour déterminer une réaction de validation appropriée.
