ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A digitized video data recording and/or reproducing system is disclosed, wherein a plurality of rotary magnetic heads are provided in association with a tape guide drum on the periphery of which a magnetic tape is helically trans- ported at a predetermined wrap angle, a signal processing circuit is provided for dividing a digitized video signal of one horizontal scan interval into a plurality of data blocks, and a signal distributing circuit is further provided for assignning every even number of the data blocks within one horizontal scan interval to each of the rotary magnetic heads for recording.
