ABSTRACT A dihydropyridine compound of the formula: Image or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein Het is 5- or 6-membered aromatic heteroaryl, R1 and R2 are each lower alkyl, R3 is lower alkyl, R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or aralkyl, R5 is lower alkyl or aralkyl, and n is 1 or 2. Such compounds are useful as therapeutic agents for myocardial and cerebral ischemic syndroms and hypertension. - 1 -
