DIISOCYANATES CONTAINING URETHANE GROUPS, A PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR USE AS BINDERS OR BINDER COMPONENT IN POLYURETHANE LACQUERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of a diisocyanate by reacting a diisocyanate with 2,2,4-trimethyl-pentanediol-(1,3) or reaction products of this diol which contain either ether or ester groups and optionally other diols or triols. The present invention is additionally directed to the diisocyanates produced by this process and to their use in one-component and two-component coating compositions.
