DIMMER CIRCUIT WITH SOFT START ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A circuit for controlling the voltage delivered to a source which includes a switch for selectively conducting current from the source to the load and a triggering device to operate the switch. The triggering device itself is acti- vated during a selected time interval. The activating of the triggering device is delayed which results in the voltage delivered to the load being gradually increased to the selected value.
