A direct transmission garage door opener performs controllably moving a sectional door between open and closed position by using a direct transmission mechanism with a reversible motor unit. Both the direct transmission mechanism and the reversible motor unit are installed at upper side of the drive shaft of the sectional door utilize the support of the header. This invention can results in a vibration free and quieter environment for the room above the garage while remain all the safety functions from the reversible motor unit with minimum cost by utilized the existed garage door opener and counterbalanced mechanism. This invention is a substantial simplification over current garage door openers which require a rail and trolley mechanism for opening and closing the door. Furthermore, longer distance for wireless remote activating the reversible motor unit also achieved in this invention.
