A method controllably aligning carbon nantotubes to a template structure (12) to fabricate a variety of carbon nanotube containing structures and devices having desired characteristics is provided. The method allows simultaneous, selective growth of both vertically and horizontally controllably aligned nanotubes (14) on the template structure (12) but not on a substrate (10) in a single prosses step.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de maîtriser l'alignement de nanotubes de carbone selon une structure modèle (12) afin de fabriquer une variété de structures et de dispositifs de nanotubes de carbone possédant des caractéristiques recherchées. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir simultanément, en une seule étape, une croissance sélective de nanotubes (14), à la fois verticaux et horizontaux, avec une maîtrise de leur alignement sur la structure modèle (12) mais non sur un substrat (10).
