A directional controller for a hearing aid with at least a front microphone and a back microphone, comprises a delay processor for processing the respective microphone signals, which is controlled according to a control parameter, and means for adjusting the control parameter in order to minimize the output signal from the delay processor. The control parameter may be adjusted to change smoothly the function mode of a hearing aid between omnidirectional mode, a directional mode and a directional mode with a pair of null directions, symmetrical about the 180° direction. The directional controller may be implemented in a multichannel version. The invention provides a directional controller, a method of controlling a hearing aid, and a noise reduction system.

L'invention concerne une commande de direction pour une aide auditive pourvue d'au moins un microphone avant (11) et un microphone arrière (12). Cette commande de direction comprend un processeur de retard (13,14) qui sert à traiter les signaux de microphone respectifs et qui est commandé en fonction d'un paramètre de commande, et un dispositif (8a) qui sert à régler le paramètre de commande afin de minimiser le signal de sortie du processeur de retard. Le paramètre de commande peut être réglé afin de modifier légèrement le mode fonction d'une aide auditive entre un mode omnidirectionnel, un mode directionnel et un mode directionnel comprenant deux directions nulles symétriques autour de la direction de 180 DEG . Cette commande de direction peut être mise en oeuvre dans une version multivoie. L'invention concerne une commande de direction, un procédé permettant de commander une aide auditive et un système de réduction du bruit.
