ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tool for pressing a brake piston into a caliper cylinder during the replacement of disc brake pads includes a pair of jaws at least one of which it mounted on a bolt. By turning the bolt one jaw is caused to move against the piston to force the piston into the cylinder. The one jaw can be moving away from the other jaw, which is positioned against the caliper ears opposite the piston. Alternatively, the jaws can straddle the cylinder containing the piston, the bolt pressing against the cylinder to pull the jaw against the piston.
