A disc cartridge for an audio reproducing device includes a first half, a second half, and a shutter member. The second half being connected to the first half to define a main body with an open-end guiding groove. The first half is moulded as a continuous panel. The second half is formed with a first aperture facing an optical head and a second aperture via which disc rotationally driving device is introduced. The shutter member is slidably mounted on the second half. The shutter has a first T-shaped plate portion, at least one second plate portion, and a connecting web. The first plate portion slides on the outer surface of the second half to open or close the first aperture. The connecting web interconnects the first and second plate portions. At least one second plate portion extends from the connecting web in a plane parallel to the first plate portion and adapted to engage the guiding groove. The length of the second plate portion is much shorter than the length of the T-shaped plate portion. Such resilient shutter member is easy to mould and may be securely attached to the disc cartridge main body.
