ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to an improvement in a device for cutting material by electric sparks, which device comprises a disc of electrically conductive material through which a dielectric liquid circulates, a central support supporting the disc for rotary motion, and an electrical current supply between the periphery of said disc and said material. The disc is formed with a group of at least three circumferentially spaced radial slots therein which inhibit deformation of the disc by the current, the slots having a length equal to at least L/2, where L is the radial distance bet- ween the periphery of the disc and the support.
