A disc-shaped information carrier (1) with a substrate (3) and an information layer (5) which comprises optically readable ~ elementary marks having a substantially uniform density. The information layer (5) comprises a first portion (11) suitable for being read out at a first read-out speed and a second portion (13) suitable for being read out at a second read-out speed higher than the first read-out speed. According to the invention, the second portion (13) of the information layer (5) is at a greater distance to a center (7) of the disc-shaped information carrier (1) than is the first portion (11) of the information layer (5). A range of rotational speeds which an optical read-out unit must have for a full and correct read-out of the information carrier (1) is reduced in this manner. In a special embodiment, the first portion (11) of the information layer (5) comprises a first version of an audio recording provided on the information layer (5) by the DSD transformation method, whereas the second portion (13) of the information layer (5) comprises a second version of this same audio recording provided on the information layer (5) by the PCM transformation method.
La présente invention concerne un support d'information en forme de disque (1) constitué d'un substrat (3) et d'une couche impressionnable (5) portant des marques élémentaires optiquement lisibles se présentant selon une densité sensiblement uniforme. La couche impressionnable (5) est découpée en une première partie (11) et une seconde partie (13). La première partie (11) est conçue pour une lecture à une première vitesse. La seconde partie (13) est conçue pour une lecture à une seconde vitesse. Selon l'invention, la seconde partie (13) de la couche impressionnable (5) est plus éloignée du centre du support d'information en forme de disque (1) que ne l'est la première partie (11) de la couche impressionnable (5). Il est ainsi possible de réduire le nombre des vitesses de rotation dont a besoin l'unité de lecture optique pour une lecture complète et correcte du support d'information (1). Selon une réalisation particulière, la première partie (11) de la couche impressionnable (5) comporte une première version d'un enregistrement audio réalisée sur la couche impressionnable (5) selon le procédé de transformation DSD, la seconde partie (13) de la couche impressionnable (5) comprenant une seconde version de ce même enregistrement audio réalisée sur la couche impressionnable (5) selon le procédé de transformation PCM.
