A DISC-TYPE AIRBORNE VEHICLE WITH RADIAL FLOW TURBINE ENGINE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An annular, radial flow gas turbine engine and airborne vehicle utilizing same. The engine has an annular compressor section within an annular combustion section in turn arranged within an annular turbine section. The engine comprises a non-rotary central section encircled by the compressor section. Counter-rotating upper and lower rotor elements are journaled for rotation about the central section with each carrying alternately arranged compressor blades, a combustion chamber wall, and alter- nately arranged turbine blade means. Non-rotary upper and lower engine support framing is annularly disposed above and below the upper and lower rotor elements. A fuel delivery means is disposed between the central section and the combustion chamber walls. Vent means is inter- connected between the fuel delivery means and the compressor section. -1-
