The invention relates to a disconnectable, hydraulic support element (1), which has minimum space requirements. A bore (16) for a slide (23), configured as a blind bore runs at the side of a plunger (10) of a hydraulic play compensation element (11) in the internal element (7). The bore in the internal element no longer needs to be nested with the play compensation element, as is usually the case in prior art. The slider (23) is also integrated into a housing (19), which runs through the cylinder head (5).
