The invention is a discrete patch suitable for use in the treatment of a viral lesion, which patch includes a backing layer and an adhesive layer, where the adhesive layer is substantially free of hydrocolloid particles, and the patch has a thickness ranging from about 10 microns to about 1,500 microns and is substantially free of topical anti-acne agents, and methods for treating viral lesions where a discrete patch of the invention is applied to a viral lesion and maintained in contact therewith for a time effective to substantially complete re-epithelialization of the lesion.
L'invention concerne un timbre discret adéquat pour une utilisation dans le traitement d'une lésion virale, ledit timbre comprenant une couche support et une couche adhésive, la couche adhésive étant sensiblement sans particules hydrocolloïdales, le timbre ayant une épaisseur dans la fourchette de 10 microns environ à 1500 microns environ et étant sensiblement sans agents anti-acné locaux. L'invention concerne également des procédés pour traiter les lésions virales, procédés selon lesquels un timbre discret de l'invention est appliqué à une lésion virale et est maintenu en contact avec celle-ci pendant un temps suffisant pour sensiblement compléter la ré-épithélialisation de la lésion.
