ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A dish antenna having electrical resistance wire in dielectric backing on the reflective metal surface of the dish and an electrical heater cable extending over the length of the antenna feed. The resistance wire and cable are selectively electrically connected to a power source through a thermostat which passes electrical current to the wire and cable only when the ambient temperature is within a prescribed temperature range. This causes heating of the wire and cable and thus of the antenna for preventing the formation of ice on the latter. - 1 -
