Dishes are cleaned by washing them with a cleaning implement which has been charged with the detergent in a solid block made from a formulation having a water-soluble alkali metal salt content of 15-60 % by weight and a surfactant content of 10-70 % by weight, said surfactant comprising 15-100 % by weight of at least one amine oxide corresponding to the formula RR'R''NO.nH2O in which R and R' are independently selected from methyl, ethyl, and 2-hydroxyethyl, R'' is a primary alkyl group containing 12-16 carbons, and n represents 0, 1, or 2.

La présente invention permet de laver la vaisselle à l'aide d'un instrument de nettoyage qui a été chargé d'un détergent sous forme de bloc solide réalisé à partir d'une formulation ayant une teneur en sel de métal alcalin hydrosoluble de 15 à 60 % en poids et une teneur en tensio-actif de 10 à 70 % en poids, ledit tensio-actif comprenant entre 15 et 100 % en poids d'au moins un oxyde d'amine répondant à la formule RR'R''NO.nH¿2?O, dans laquelle R et R' sont choisis indépendamment parmi le méthyle, l'éthyle, et le 2-hydroxyéthyle, R'' est un groupe alkyle primaire renfermant entre 12 et 16 atomes de carbone, et n représente 0,1 ou 2.
