A dish washer with dryer comprises a washing and drying compartment within a main body into which tableware to be cleaned and dried is loaded (the compartment having walls and the main body having outer body walls), a washing pump for spraying cleaning water into the compartment, a heater and a fan for feeding drying air into the compartment after the spraying of the cleaning water. The dish washer includes an inlet and an outlet for drying air located on one compartment wall of the washing and drying compartment, and suction and exhaust openings for cooling air located on an outer body wall of the main body. A circulating air pathway provides communication between the drying air inlet and the drying air outlet, the circulating air pathway including a U-shaped portion. Drying air flows down one arm, and upward in the other arm. A cooling air pathway provides communication between the suction opening and the exhaust opening, the cooling air pathway being between the compartment wall and the outer body wall. A partition having a fixed portion and a moving portion separates the drying air pathway from the cooling air pathway, air movement on both sides of the partition transferring heat through it to condense moisture from the drying air. A double faced rotating fan has a rotation disc which forms the moving portion of the partition by which both pathways are separated, heat transfer to the cooling air from the drying air occurring through that disc, the fan circulating the drying air and cooling air in their respective pathways. A drive motor is provided for driving the double faced fan.
