A washing appliance such as a dishwasher where a top-load- ing wash chamber is slidable out of cabinet for loading and unloading has a cabinet-mounted chamber lid (1) which is power driven down onto the open top of the wash chamber during the washing cycle. Linear actuators or motors (7) mounted in opposite sides of the appliance cabinet are coupled to opposite sides of the lid (1) to pull the lid (1) down when the chamber has been slid back into the cabinet. In a preferred embodiment rotating dc motors (7) are used to rotate a threaded nut which in turn produces linear motion in a threaded shaft (6) engaged within the nut and connected to the lid. Image
Selon cette invention, un appareil de lavage tel qu'un lave-vaisselle comprend une chambre de lavage à chargement vertical qui coulisse à l'extérieur de la carrosserie pour le chargement/déchargement. Cette chambre comporte un couvercle (1) monté sur la carrosserie et qui se rabat automatiquement sur la partie supérieure ouverte de la chambre de lavage pendant le cycle de lavage. Des actionneurs ou moteurs (7) linéaires montés dans les côtés opposés de la carrosserie du lave-vaisselle sont couplés aux côtés opposés du couvercle (1) afin de rabattre le couvercle (1) lorsque la chambre est rentrée dans la carrosserie. Selon une réalisation préférée, des moteurs à courant continu sont utilisés pour faire tourner un écrou fileté qui génère à son tour un mouvement linéaire dans une tige filetée (6) engagée dans l'écrou et raccordée au couvercle.
