The dishwashing machine generally designated (12) has a dishwashing compartment (14), a carousel tray (16) rotatable by means of motor (18) and transmission band (20) divided by means of partition (22) into two semi-circular portions (16' and 16"). Once the former portion is outside chamber (14), the latter is within and vice versa. Partition (22) forms together with adjacent wall portions (24 and 26) an essentially watertight seal.
