Abstract of the disclosure: Disinfectants which are characterized in that they contain a mixture of a compound of the formula I Image I in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6, which may be identical or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical having of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R7 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 8 to 18 car- bon atoms, n is 2 or 3 and m is zero or an integer from 1 to 4, in admixture with one or more chlorinated hydrocarbons or with non chlorinated a aromatic hydrocarbons and a compound of the formula II Image II or of the formula III Image III or of the formula IV Image IV or a mixture of compounds of the formulae II to IV, in which R8 represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, R9 represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical having from 7 to 17 carbon atoms, R10 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl or ethyl group, x, y and z each represent an integer from zero to 2, v is 2 or 3, p is zero or 1 and q is zero or 1. - 1a -
