It has been found that certain combinations of substituted imidazoline-based amphoterics and quaternary ammonium compounds show markedly reduced irritation profile in addition to providing excellent cleaning detergency. Moreover, it has further been found that certain substituted imidazoline amphoteric surfactants in combination with didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DIDAC) show unexpected synergistic irritation compared to that observed when the quaternary is an ADBAC type. This allows the formulation of disinfectants and sanitizers with the favored antimicrobial agent while at the same time affording the optimum reduction in irritation potential.
Il a été démontré que certaines combinaisons de composés amphotères à base d'imidazoline substituée et de composés d'ammonium quaternaire présentent, outre leurs excellentes caractéristiques détersives, un profil d'irritation particulièrement réduit. Par ailleurs, il a été également démontré que certains agents tensioactifs amphotères à base d'imidazoline substituée, en combinaison avec le chlorure de didécyldiméthylammonium (DIDAC), présentent une réduction inattendue de l'irritation synergique par rapport à celle observée lorsque l'ammonium quaternaire est du type chlorure d'alkyldiméthylbenzylammonium (ADBAC). Les désinfectants et agents d'assainissement peuvent ainsi être formulés avec l'agent antimicrobien préféré tout en présentant un profil d'irritation potentielle réduit de manière optimale.
