ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An object of the invention is to provide a disk player, which is capable of truly reproducing recorded data and precisely controlling the rotational speed of the motor or the disk. In the disk player of the present invention, a motor rotates a disk. Speed detecting means detects rotational speed of the motor or disk. An optical pick-up reads data, which have been recorded on the disk, by accessing to the disk. An MPU finds object rotational speed, which is ideal rotational speed with respect to an accessing position of the optical pick-up on the disk. The MPU makes rotational speed of the motor or disk equal to the object rotational speed by finding the object rotational speed while the optical pick-up travels to a next accessing position.
