A system for mounting a head/disk assembly (HDA), of the type including at least one information storage disk, a spindle on which said disk is rotatably mounted and a rotary actuator for positioning at least one head relative to the disk comprises a support structure and means (87, 83) for mounting the HDA on the support structure to permit a limited amount of substantially free rotation in reaction to movement of the actuator thereby to reduce vibration in the HDA. The HDA may be part of a hard disk enclosure (HDE) or an entire hard disk drive (HDD) mounted in a computer chassis.

L'invention concerne un système destiné au montage d'un assemblage tête/disque, du type comprenant au moins un disque de stockage d'informations, un axe sur lequel ce disque est monté rotatif et un actionneur de rotation destiné à positionner au moins une tête par rapport au disque. Ce système comprend une structure de support et des moyens (87, 83) destinés à monter l'assemblage tête/disque sur la structure de support afin de permettre un degré faible de rotation, sensiblement libre, en réaction au mouvement de l'actionneur, ce qui permet de réduire les vibrations dans cet assemblage. L'assemblage tête/disque peut constituer une partie d'un boîtier de disque dur ou un disque dur complet monté sur un châssis d'ordinateur.
