ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A disk type steam trap comprising a valve disk, a valve seat having a hole, and a double coiled bimetal disposed between the disk and the valve seat and in the hole, the bimetal comprising a coiled strip formed into a coil, the bimetal expanding at a low temperature to force the disk away from the valve seat and contracting at a high temperature to allow the disk to rest on the valve seat.
