2074810 9211188 PCTABS00014 A dispenser (1) for powdered or granular materials in particular comprises a reservoir chamber (2), a metering chamber (3) and a dispensing chamber (4) with a dispensing opening (5). The dispensing chamber (4) is separated from the metering chamber (3) by a partition (6). On initial tipping of the dispenser, the material (20) enters the metering chamber (3). It then goes to the dispensing chamber (4) when the dispenser is tipped back, the metered material (20) being dispensed when the dispenser is tipped a second time. The dispenser also includes a closure element (8) which, in the closed position, shuts off both a passage leading from the reservoir chamber (2) to the metering chamber (3) and the dispensing aperture (5). It is characterized in that the partition (6) is fixed and that the closure element (8) incorporates a blocking element (10) for blocking the passage (9) from the reservoir chamber (2) to the metering chamber (3) in the closed position. On closing the closure element (8), the blocking element (10) slides through an opening (11) in a cover (7) of the metering chamber (3).
