A dispenser for barrier tape includes a housing defining an interior cavity with an access opening. A roll of barrier tape is housed within the interior cavity of the housing. The barrier tape has a remote end accessible through the access opening. A first component of a two component coupler is secured to the remote end of the barrier tape. A second component of the two component coupler is secured to either the housing or the barrier tape in spaced relation to the first component.
