In the application of a material such as semi-solid gypsum jointfill compound, a major source of waste and time consumption is the transfer of this material from the storage container to the manual application tools. This is presently accomplished by either scooping or pouring. Both these methods require the container to be opened for access, and thereby exposing the material to air, which in time will render the material inconsistent in viscodity, cause contamination by absorbing foreign materials, necessitates considerable time loss, and creates waste. This new portable DISPENSING APPARATUS will improve and/or eliminate these conditions.
