A razor system includes a handle with handle connecting structure at an end of a hand engageable portion and a replaceable blade cartridge having cartridge connecting structure for connection to the hand connecting structure. The handle connecting structure makes connection with the cartridge connecting structure by movement along a connection axis toward the cartridge. The hand connecting structure includes a cam surface and the cartridge connecting structure includes a recessed portion for receiving the cam surface on the handle as the handle is moved along the connection axis.
