ABSTRACT A pump is especially adapted to be mounted in and on an hermetically sealed container and to remove and discharge fluid contained therein at an elevated discharge pressure. The pump has a discharge chamber, and intake chamber and a reciprocating valve body. The intake chamber is mounted on the valve body and is contained entirely within the discharge chamber, whereby the discharge pressure is substantially independent of the pressure within said hermetically sealed container. The valve body is spring loaded whereby said pump is pressure actuated. The discharge chamber comprises an open ended housing mounted on the container and a cooperating piston having an open ended bottom mounted therein, the spring loaded valve body being positioned between the housing and the piston. The closed end of the housing is provided with an upstanding stem. The lower end of the valve body has an open ended chamber forming said intake chamber and is mounted on the stem in sliding but sealed relation thereto.
