A dispersant is prepared from an amine and a hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent, wherein the hydrocarbyl substituent is a polymerized olefin having a polydispersity <o>M</o>w/<o>M</o>n of greater than 5. Such polyolefin substituents are prepared by polymerization of olefins in the presence of a calcined catalyst comprising a partially or fully neutralized ammonium salt of a heteropolyacid.

L'invention concerne un produit dispersant préparé à partir d'une amine et d'un agent d'acylation hydrocarbyl-substitué, le substituant hydrocarbyle étant une oléfine polymérisée présentant une polydispersité <o>M</o>w/<o>M</o>n supérieure à 5. Ces substituants de polyoléfine sont préparés par polymérisation d'oléfines en présence d'un catalyseur calciné comprenant un sel d'ammonium partiellement ou entièrement neutralisé provenant d'un hétéropolyacide.
