Abstract In an industrial dispersion apparatus for dispersing solid material in a liquid the impeller comprises a resilient disc of high molecular weight polyethylene with circumferentially spaced, radial grooves on each face of the disc. The grooves have generally parallel sidewalls which are substantially normal to the disc faces and the grooves are offset so that a groove on one face is circumferentially spaced between two adjacent grooves on the other face.
