A dispersion compensation module, which has a function of compensating the wavelength dispersion produced in an optical transmission line and a construction with which the wavelength dependency of its transmission loss is mall and the module is easy to be inserted into an optical transmission system, comprising an input terminal and an output terminal of a signal light, a dispersion compensating means such as a dispersion compensation optical fiber and a loss equalizing means which compensates for a loss variation depending at least upon wavelengths in the dispersion compensating means.

L'invention concerne un module de compensation de la dispersion, qui a pour fonction de compenser la dispersion des longueurs d'ondes se produisant dans une ligne de transmission optique, et une structure dans laquelle les longueurs d'ondes dépendent peu de l'affaiblissement de transmission. Le module peut être facilement intégré à un système de transmission optique. Il comprend un terminal d'entrée et un terminal de sortie destinés à une lumière de signal, un système de compensation de la dispersion tel qu'une fibre optique à compensation de dispersion et un système d'égalisation de l'affaiblissement qui compense la variation d'affaiblissement au moins en fonction des longueurs d'ondes dans le système de compensation de la dispersion.
