ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process in which n liquid A is displaced by a liquid B in a suspension. This is effected by superimposing a liquid column on an exchange chamber through which the liquids flow in countercurrent, with stirring. The process may be used for washing or acidifying suspensions, particularly cotton linters.
