A display apparatus for consumer products which are to be kept cool comprises a container including a floor upon which consumer product(s) may be placed and a transparent cover, the cover having at least one aperture to permit consumer access to the product(s). A solid coolant housing that houses a solid coolant has a base and is removably supported in the container with a gap between the base of the housing and the floor of the container. Apertures in the base of the housing allow cold gas to flow from the housing to the product(s) in the container.
