ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a display apparatus for dis- playing successive lines of data. It comprises a storage means for storing each successive line of data, means for forming a line count associated with each line of data and a means for displaying each successive line of data in a number of successive lines of the display with the number corresponding to the line count. Also disclosed is an apparatus for transforming an ordered subset of an ordered sequence of data values corresponding to equally spaced samples along a first axis of length onto a sequence of sample points equally spaced along a second axis of length. These apparatus are particularly useful in underwater mapping and provide improved results and are easier to use than the prior art devices.
