An improved display assembly comprising an upstanding storage unit having a plurality of vertically aligned sides and a plurality of shelves for holding a plurality of containers, the improvement comprising a first planar member having an upper face and connected to a first side of the unit and rotatable in a vertical plane from a vertical position whereby the upper face is aligned essentially parallel to and adjacent the first side, to an essentially horizontal position whereby the upper face is aligned essentially horizontal and perpendicularly to the first face and wherein the planar member is adapted to receive at least a single container. The display assembly offers enhanced display cost effectiveness, commensurate with stability when stacked with the containers and when transported empty.
