- 9 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display device of the type having a slidable panel which alters a colour image positioned behind an opening is disclosed. The device comprises an envelope having first and second similar panels where the first panel has a colour image on its inner surface. The second panel has an opening which is aligned with the colour image. Affixed to the second panel is a transparent screen having a line image corresponding to, and positioned in registry with, the colour image. An insert panel is slidably mounted within the envelope and between the transparent screen and the first panel such that it may be moved from a position fully retained within the envelope, where only the line image is visible through the opening, to a partially withdrawn position where the colour image is visible through the opening.
