A display for digital/analogous visualization of computer stored and bitmapped still or moving images on or via at least one visualization medium, the display comprising: a matrix including at least two sets of individually addressable electrodes, the electrodes being arrange in rows and columns having crossing points; at least one resistive spacer separating and electrically connecting the sets of electrodes; at least one control unit electrically coupled to said electrodes for applying, multiplexing or scanning first and second control signals to said at least one resistive spacer via said electrodes to obtain a temperature variation in the crossing points of the electrodes; a thermosensitive indication means covering the electrodes and transforming the temperature variation to a visible dot, wherein the control unit applies the first control signals comprising a plurality of low voltage until the desired temperature is reached; and wherein the resistive spacer consists of a conducting material exhibiting a resistance change at a predefined temperature.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage permettant de visualiser sous forme numérique/analogique des images fixes ou en mouvement enregistrées sur ordinateur et établies en mode point, sur ou via au moins un support de visualisation. Le dispositif en question comprend: une matrice équipée d'au moins deux séries d'électrodes adressables individuellement, ces électrodes étant disposées en rangées et colonnes qui présentent des points d'intersection; au moins un espaceur résistif qui sépare et relie électriquement les séries d'électrodes; au moins une unité de commande couplée électriquement auxdites électrodes, pour l'application, le multiplexage ou le balayage de premiers et seconds signaux de commande sur le ou les espaceurs résistifs, via les électrodes, afin d'obtenir une variation de température aux points d'intersection des électrodes; un système indicateur thermosensible couvrant les électrodes et transformant la variation de température en un point visible, sachant que l'unité de commande applique les premiers signaux de commande selon une pluralité de tensions faibles jusqu'à atteindre la température souhaitée. L'espaceur résistif est constitué de matériau conducteur qui présente un changement de résistance à une température prédéterminée.
