Provided is a display device having a display section wherein pixels are arranged in matrix. The pixel has a light emitting element which self-emits light in accordance with a current quantity, and a pixel circuit which controls a current to be applied to the light emitting element in accordance with a voltage signal. The display device is provided with a light emitting quantity specifying section, which sets reference duty for specifying a light emitting quantity for each frame in accordance with an inputted video signal; and an adjusting section for adjusting an actual duty and gain of the video signal so that light emitting quantities before and after adjustment are identical, based on the reference duty and the inputted video signal. The actual duty specifies for each frame a light emitting time when the light emitting element emits light.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage comprenant une section d'affichage, des pixels étant agencés dans une matrice. Le pixel a un élément d'émission de lumière qui émet automatiquement de la lumière selon une quantité de courant et un circuit de pixel qui commande un courant devant être appliqué à l'élément d'émission de lumière selon un signal de tension. Le dispositif d'affichage est pourvu d'une section de spécification de quantité d'émission de lumière, qui établit une tâche de référence pour spécifier une quantité d'émission de lumière pour chaque trame selon un signal vidéo fourni en entrée ; et une section d'ajustement pour ajuster une tâche réelle et un gain du signal vidéo de sorte que des quantités d'émission de lumière avant et après un ajustement soient identiques, sur la base de la tâche de référence et du signal vidéo fourni en entrée. La tâche réelle spécifie pour chaque trame un temps d'émission de lumière quand l'élément d'émission de lumière émet de la lumière.
