Forms for display of clothing and the like with magnetically attach-able parts are provided. The magnetic joints (14) comprise a magnetic assembly with a depth of pull sufficient to cause the attachable part to begin to pull toward the form at a distance preferably greater than one-half inch, preferably about one inch. Preferably the magnetic assembly has a depth of pull of at least about 120 gauss at a distance of one inch. A metallic plate is arranged in mating configu-ration with the magnetic assembly. Mating pins (18) may be provided, as well as indexing pins (16). If the manikin is knocked over, or if the attached part is pulled or bumped, it will come loose rather than breaking off; and the mating parts are self-seeking in use, so that they will come together in proper orientation even when being mated beneath clothes. A bump to the manikin sufficient to overcome the on-contact strength of the magnetic attachment may not result in detachment of the limb because of the depth of the pull strength of the magnetic assembly. The indexing pins allow the limbs to be placed in a variety of positions.
Cette invention concerne des formes pour présentation de vêtements et analogues avec éléments à fixation magnétique. Les articulations magnétiques (14) comprennent un ensemble magnétique possédant une profondeur d'attraction suffisante pour que la force d'attraction commence à se faire sentir sur l'élément rapporté à une distance de préférence supérieure à un demi-pouce et de préférence égale à un pouce. L'ensemble magnétique a de préférence une profondeur d'attraction d'environ 120 gauss à une distance d'un pouce. Une plaque métallique présente une configuration correspondant à l'ensemble magnétique. L'ensemble peut comporter des goupilles appariées (18) ainsi que des doigts de positionnement (16). Si le mannequin se renverse, ou bien si l'élément qui lui est rattaché est arraché ou cogné, ledit élément se détache au lieu de se rompre. De plus, les parties appariées s'adaptent d'elles mêmes les unes aux autres de sorte qu'elles s'orientent correctement les unes par rapport aux autres, même si l'emboîtement a lieu vêtements en place. Un choc appliqué au mannequin, suffisant pour surmonter la force de contact de la fixation magnétique, ne se traduit pas forcément par la séparation du membre compte tenu de la profondeur de la force d'attraction de l'ensemble magnétique. Les doigts d'orientation permettent de disposer les membres dans diverses positions.
