A method in a television broadcasting system in which a transmission unit controls the presentation of items of enhanced content during a running program and the presentation of the items of enhanced content is triggered in response to receipt by the transmission unit of periodic indications embedded in the running program, the method comprising: measuring, for each periodic indication, a criterion indicative of the quality of that periodic indication; storing the measured criteria as quality data; and, during the running program, if no indication is received by the transmission unit for a predetermined time, accessing the quality data to determine an expected indication quality, and: if the expected indication quality is above a threshold quality level, suspending the triggering of enhanced content, and if the expected indication quality is below the threshold, triggering the presentation of enhanced content.
L'invention concerne un procédé dans un système de diffusion de programme télévisé dans lequel une unité de transmission commande la présentation d'éléments de contenu amélioré pendant un programme en cours, et selon lequel la présentation des éléments de contenu amélioré est déclenchée en réponse à la réception par l'unité de transmission d'indications périodiques intégrées dans le programme en cours. Ce procédé consiste : à mesurer, pour chaque indication périodique, un critère indiquant la qualité de cette indication périodique ; à stocker les critères mesurés en tant que données qualitatives ; puis, pendant le programme en cours, si aucune indication n'est reçue par l'unité de transmission pendant une durée prédéterminée, à accéder aux données qualitatives afin que soit déterminée une qualité d'indication attendue ; et, si la qualité d'indication attendue dépasse un niveau de qualité seuil, à suspendre le déclenchement du contenu amélioré ; et, si la qualité d'indication attendue est inférieure au seuil, à déclencher la présentation du contenu amélioré.
