ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display package for a video tape cassette includes a container having a first color pattern formed of vertical stripes in a parallel and abutting relation with each stripe being of a different color; and a thin transparent sheet sur- rounding the container and having a substantially transparent second color pattern which at least partially overlaps the first color pattern to form a third color pattern, the second color pattern being formed of a plurality of horizontally arranged stripes in an abutting and parallel relation, with each stripe being of a different color so that the third color pattern is formed in a checkerboard-like arrangement.
