ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display rack for retail merchandise is formed without a back panel by providing a framework which uses upper and lower rear spreader bars having attachment means on the ends thereof for interconnecting the rear upright posts of a pair of spaced sidewalls. Each sidewall is provided with a plurality of vertically spaced transverse wire support members. Such an arrangement permits wire shelves formed with reinforcing rear walls to be readily mounted on the framework by fastener portions on the sides thereof engaging fastener portions on opposing wire support members of the sidewalls.
