The present invention relates to machine made disposable absorbent articles having a panty fastening adhesive (5) on their garment facing surface. The panty fastening adhesive (5) has a shape which is at least partially non linear. This new shape can be provided by a novel adhesive printing process for disposable absorbent articles.
