An absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet attached to the topsheet, an absorbent core of a combination of airlaid material, wetlaid material and superabsorbent, the core being positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet to absorb fluid, and wherein the core includes an elongated, cylindrical, raised portion for improved contact with a use, and a scrim material surrounding at least a portion of the raised portion of the core.

L'invention concerne un article absorbant ayant une feuille supérieure perméable aux liquides, une feuille inférieure imperméable aux liquides, fixée à la feuille supérieure, et un noyau absorbant constitué d'une combinaison d'un matériau déposé par jet d'air, d'un matériau déposé par voie humide et d'un superabsorbant. Le noyau se trouve entre la feuille supérieure et la feuille inférieure, pour absorber les fluides. Le noyau comporte une portion cylindrique allongée surélevée, pour améliorer le contact avec l'utilisateur. Une mousseline entoure au moins une partie de la portion surélevée du noyau.
