A disposable carry-out food container has a bottom wall, two end walls, two side walls having an apex, and two lid panels hinged on the end walls to meet at the apex of the side walls. In a preferred embodiment, a handle extends between the apexes of the two side walls. The walls, the lid panels and the handle are formed of lightweight, disposable and moisture resistant materials. In one embodiment, the outer surface of the container includes a wicker pattern printed thereon and the inner surface of the container includes a tablecloth type pattern printed thereon so as to generally resemble a picnic basket.
