6. ABSTRACT IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO DISPOSABLE DRINKING CUPS The invention provides a disposable drinking cup comprising a bottom wall and a side wall, and having means defining upper and lower stacking surfaces arranged so that when the cup is nested in a further such cup, the lower stacking surface of the cup engages the upper stacking surface of the further cup so that a space is defined between the bottom walls of the cups, there being a series of flutes arranged in a band extending around the side wall substantially normal to the axis of the cup, said flutes being inwardly directed and arranged to frictionally engage a plain portion of a further such cup when it is nested inside the cup so as to resist frictionally the separation of the two cups.
