A disposable diaper includes a topsheet, a backsheet and a core disposed therebetween to define a front waist region, a rear waist region and a crotch region extending therebetween, a first elastic member extending longitudinally of the diaper across a middle zone of the core between the front and rear waist regions is disposed between the backsheet and the core and secured to the backsheet and second elastic members extending longitudinally of the diaper across the transversely opposite side zones of the core, respectively, between the front and rear waist regions are disposed between the backsheet and the core and bonded to the backsheet.
